Shouldn't I be able to set OmniWeb as the browser of choice and have that persist? The only weird thing I've noticed about OmniWeb sp 18 is that it still lists itself as OmniWeb sp 17 (v 327). OW sp 18! That said, I don't like how some pages don't render correctly in OW and how it decides to crash often without any apparent reasons.īut what makes OW shine above all other browsers is the user-friendly interface, text-to-speech, spell-check, active-bookmark update checking (displaying how many pages and which pages were updated on the OW dock icon and dock menu). I hate IE's ugly interface (it used to look decent in OS 9 but it looks out of place and a half-assed-Aqua-attempt in OS X.) I hate the way IE doesn't display some images on occasions. I don't like the fact that IE has problems rendering pages and leaves the whole page white until you scroll down and back up again (not the same rendering problems as OmniWeb). In fact, all browsers have rough depends which edge you don't mind being rougher. Let's be honest here.OmniWeb isn't the only browser with rough edges. OmniWeb still has a few rough edges to flesh out, and this includes every version up to and including sneaky peek 17.
